Jen Boyles is a trailblazer in digital media and marketing with a career foundation in journalism. Recognized with three SPJ awards for excellence in digital storytelling, Jen spent more than 15 years interviewing some of the world’s most influential musicians, creatives, and designers, honing her ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences across cultures and industries.
Transitioning to marketing in 2012, Jen led Minnesota’s largest agency to pioneer an innovative approach to creating repeatable and strategic branded content with the Content Lab. Seven years later In 2018, she founded her own consultancy and modular agency, JBD, to provide agile, bespoke content strategy solutions for clients, ranging from industry cooperatives to Fortune 500 companies and mid-sized brands & agencies. At the heart of Jen’s consultancy is a passion for developing authentic brand voice and tone, creating value-driven content and processes, and driving strategic growth in the changing digital marketplace.
Jen’s creative passions span fashion, music, and design. She’s an avid eyewear collector, lover of all things '90s, and a devoted bulldog enthusiast (Hollis & Helen are her two lovable chaos agents at home). She lives in Minnetonka with said dogs, creative director husband Ian, and life director son Weston, 8.
